Central and Eastern Europe/Commonwealth of Independent States

  • Bosnia and Herzegovina: Privatisation of q, a manufacturer of bicycles and bicycle equipment; x, a producer of steel castings founded in 1950
  • Hungary: Restructuring assistance to 14 companies from the Hungarian Aluminium Industry.
  • Macedonia: Identification, formulation and promotion of industrial investment projects. Among the companies included in the project:
    • a producer of extruded aluminium profiles with additional plants in Tetovo and Stip for the production of aluminium structures and pre-alloys.
    • a foundry producing ductile iron, cast iron and non-ferrous castings;
    • a company with an annual production of 70,000 tons of ferrosilicon, 10,000 tons of silicon metal, 7,000 tons of low carbon ferrochrome
    • a producer of crown corks and tinplate cans;
    • a company located in Kavadarci currently producing metal plates and profiled plates who wants to expand into the production of metal pipes and tubes;
    • a private company processing secondary scrap materials such as used car batteries for the production of lead and alloys;
    • a private company of Skopje assembling and installing water metres, fittings and valves.
  • Montenegro: Restructuring and preparation of privatisation for Kombinat Aluminijuma Podgorica (KAP). The Aluminium Combine Podgorica is among Montenegro's most important enterprises. With upstream and downstream activities it accounts for 53% of the GDP.
  • Poland: Export promotion programme. Among the companies assisted has been a company producing railway accessories, especially forged screws .
  • Russian Federation: We assisted m plant of m JSC (MMC) in re-defining its corporate strategy and preparing a business plan.
  • Slovak Republic: Restructuring of z, a producer of plate steel components. We assisted the company in designing and implementing an operational restructuring plan as well as defining the financial restructuring strategy


North Africa/Middle East

  • Egypt: Within the Egyptian Private Sector Development Programme we implemented a Strategic Alliance Project wit a European firm for a member of a large, vertically integrated Egyptian Group producing cold- and hot-rolled steel tubes for the the furniture and construction industry.
  • Egypt: Support of an Egyptian company producing metal tubes in developing and implementing a business plan focussing on the improvement of production efficiency, the development of a marketing and sales plan, product development, quality management and partner search.
  • Egypt: Development of a strategy and business plan for an Egyptian company manufacturing gas cooker rings made of non-ferrous metals located in the 10th of Ramadan Industrial Area.
  • Jordan: Inward Buying Mission and Market Investigation Europe. We assisted 6 Jordanian companies involved in aluminium extrusion and fabrication in implementing an export benchmarking exercise and market investigation analysis on European markets, developing an export strategy to penetrate selected European markets and record export sales, and in organising an inward buying mission of potential buyers from the selected European markets.
  • Jordan: Market research and elaboration of a marketing and sales strategy, including product development and the implementation of a marketing plan. Among the companies assisted are:
    • a steel forming applications company manufacturing gas cookers, electric water heaters and metal office furniture;
    • a manufacturer of steel casting components for earth moving and construction machinery, stone crushers, rolls for rolling steel mills as well as tool parts for cement, mining and other heavy industrie


Other regions

  • France/Germany/UK: We assisted the building products division of an important European aluminium company (steel and aluminium profiles, façade structures and metal constructions) in evaluating the competitive position and market opportunities.
  • Germany: We supported the management of a leading German non-ferrous metal and chemicals group in its search, assessment and realisation of new business opportunities.
  • Germany: For one of the major German industrial holdings, we evaluated the acquisition of an important and diversified company active in the precious metalworking industry.
  • Switzerland: Our analysis for a Swiss metal-working company with plants in four European countries led to recommendations for the optimisation of purchasing, production and warehousing activities.
  • USA/Europe: A European non-ferrous metal group retained our services to conduct research in the USA on the markets and success factors for forged and moulded parts for the aeronautics industry.
  • Western Europe: On behalf of an important European manufacturer of wire and cable products, we identified the relative competitive position and designed innovative strategies to gain a competitive edge.
  • Western Europe: One of the leading European producers of profiled steel asked us to analyse the chances to increase market share by vertical integration for the bright steel division by complementary work to produce pre-turned parts.
