Central and Eastern Europe/Commonwealth of Independent States

  • Macedonia: Industrial investment promotion. Within the framework of the programme we assisted a producer of safety glasses used in the automotive and construction industries.
  • Poland: Export promotion programme. Among the companies were:
    • a porcelain factory established in 1790, producing traditional tableware, breakfast sets, singular fancy wares, apothecary jars and figurines received assistance in product design and development and preparation of promotional material;
    • we assisted a producer of table and decorative glass in training the product development and design centre to the taste of the British market.
  • Russian Federation/Irkutsk: Restructuring and operational upgrading of a large porcelain factory. The company received assistance in new product development in co-operation with local arts academies and an increase of sales via mail order houses; also, cost cutting potentials were identified and a restructuring strategy developed.
  • Russian Federation/Irkutsk: Business diagnosis and sales promotion. A Siberian company producing a broad range of traditional porcelain ware, has asked us to elaborate a business diagnosis and search for new distribution channels in Western Siberia.


North Africa/Middle East

  • Jordan: Market research and elaboration of a marketing and sales strategy, including product development and the implementation of a marketing plan. Among the companies assisted are:
    • a company producing ceramic sanitary ware;
    • a company manufacturing ceramic wall and floor tiles.
  • Lebanon – Under the EuroMed Partnership agreement between Lebanon and the EU PC&A was asked to carry out a Business Analysis and Diagnostic Study of 60 Lebanese SMEs from various sectors in order to help them improve their competitive position and thus prepare for new opportunities and increased competition resulting from the EU-Lebanese Free Trade agreement. Among the sectors were Agro-Food; Textile; Furniture; Printing; Detergents; Construction; Marble and Glass; Packaging and IT


Other regions

  • Sweden: One of the large Swedish Investment Trusts asked us to identify and evaluate possible acquisitions and investment opportunities in the European crystal and chinaware industry.
