Central and Eastern Europe/Commonwealth of Independent States

  • Bosnia and Herzegovina: Technical assistance for the restructuring and privatisation of a limestone quarry factory and a civil engineering and construction company.
  • Macedonia: Identification, formulation and promotion of industrial investment projects. Among the companies included in the project have been:
    • a producer of cement, cement plates and styrofoam with about 1,100 employees;
    • a company producing fire-resistant materials, such as fire-clay, high-alumina and silicate bricks and silicon-carbide shaped products;
    • a Veles based private producer of porous bricks, floor bricks, granulated stones and lime;
    • a company active in the production of metal structures, wooden doors and windows, civil engineering and installation as well as in passenger and goods transportation.
    • a producer of safety glasses, which are partly used in the construction industry, and of thermopane.
  • Poland: Export promotion programme. Among the companies assisted has been a producer of smooth rigid tube conduits and tetragonal conduits made of PVC used for electric installations on plaster and under ceilings.
  • Russian Federation: We assisted a manufacturer of steel constructions (frameworks and modular buildings) for construction companies in Eastern Siberia in re-defining its corporate strategy and preparing a business plan.
  • Russian Federation/Irkutsk: Assistance of a construction company active in building roads, houses, office space in developing new businesses, finance and working capital management, purchasing, partner search
  • Republic of Buryatia/Ulan Ude: Support of a Siberian producer of roofing slates, panels for interior rooms and floor tiles in strategy development and the elaboration of a restructuring plan with a focus on product development, marketing & sales, financial planning.
  • Uzbekistan: Business upgrading assistance to
    • a producer of slabs, handrails, stages, border stones etc from marble and granite,
    • the only producer of firebricks in Uzbekistan, which runs several quarries and produces a wide range of construction materials, and
    • a producer and processor of granite and marble.


North Africa/Middle East

  • Algeria: In a project financed by UNDP/UNIDO and the client company we assisted a producer of PVC profiles for windows and doors in conducting a diagnosis and in preparing and implementing a 2 year business plan.
  • Algeria: Assistance to the Algerian National Council for Privatisation and the Ministry of Industry and Restructuring in the preparation and implementation of the privatisation programme. In addition to the support of national institutions in carrying out the privatisation, four selected public enterprises received assistance in the elaboration of pre- and post-privatisation restructuring plans, in the implementation of the restructuring plan for each company and in the identification of strategic investors for the four companies. Among the companies supported was a company producing ceramic wall tiles.
  • Lebanon: Under the EuroMed Partnership agreement between Lebanon and the EU PC&A was asked to carry out a Business Analysis and Diagnostic Study of 60 Lebanese SMEs from various sectors in order to help them improve their competitive position and thus prepare for new opportunities and increased competition resulting from the EU-Lebanese Free Trade agreement. Among the sectors were Agro-Food; Textile; Furniture; Printing; Detergents; Construction; Marble and Glass; Packaging and IT
  • Morocco: Strategy plan development for two construction enterprises: a producer of building blocks made of concrete and other building materials, and an enterprise offering the planning and turn-key erection of industrial buildings, maintenance and tubing, rental of cranes and anti-corrosive protection of industrial buildings.
  • Morocco: Under the European Union MEDA programme in Morocco and co-financed by the client enterprise our firm was asked to assist the company b Maroc. The enterprise offers the planning and turn-key erection of industrial buildings, maintenance and tubing, rental of cranes and anti-corrosive protection of industrial buildings. The re-organisation proposed by our team will lead to a ROCE of 6%.
  • Tunisia: Assistance to the General Directorate of Privatisation in privatising the state owned lime production and distribution company Société Tunisienne de Chaux. The project was implemented in for phases: (1) Technical and economic study of the feasibility of the privatisation; (2) Marketing campaign and investors search; (3) Preparation of legal documents; and (4) Assistance in the evaluation of offers.
  • Tunisia: In a project financed by the Meda EU Programme we have developed a strategic and operational improvement action plan (Mise à Niveau) for various Tunisian companies of the building materials sector to apply for external financing . Among the companies were three marble mining and processing companies.


Other regions

  • Germany: We elaborated entrance strategies into related businesses (Consulting and Facilities management) for one of the most important European suppliers of building equipment and systems
  • Germany: The parent company of a large German supplier of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and sanitary installations as well as related services and maintenance asked us to analyse the own competitive position, the most important competitors' strategies and scenarios of market trends in order to prepare the divestment of this group with a partner offering the highest synergies.
  • Western Europe: For the building systems division of an important European producer of flat rolled steel we analysed the downward integration into profiled steel panels, tubes and other construction business related steel products.
